October 04, 2005

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -The Keystone Rural Health Center in Chambersburg has received a federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration Division of Grants Management, U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster announced.

The grant will go toward renovations and a new addition to the family practice building, according to a news release.

"The family practice has been growing significantly for the past three years and these funds will be very helpful," Keystone Rural Health Center President and CEO Joanne Cochran said in the release.

The Keystone Rural Health Center will receive $245,516 to go toward renovating the current center and adding to the family practice building.

"The improvements to the Keystone Rural Health Center are critical for Chambersburg and the areas' medical needs," said Shuster, who serves on the Rural Health Care Coalition.
