Frederick woman dies following I270 crash

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick woman died Sunday, the victim of an apparent hit-and-run accident on Interstate 270, according to Maryland State Police.

Urai Riddle, 42, of the 7500 block of Sundays Lane, was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore just before midnight Saturday after the vehicle she was a passenger in was struck while northbound on I-270, police said. Riddle was thrown from the 2001 Mitsubishi Montero after it overturned in the median, police said.

The driver, Orathai Senemoontry, 31, of the 7500 block of Sundays Lane, and a passenger, Maytee Boonyatredee, of the 1000 block of Brightstone Drive in Baltimore, also were flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with severe injuries, police said.

Senemoontry was approaching Md. 85 when his vehicle was hit on the driver's side by a red car, which also was northbound, police said. Police said the red car pulled over briefly, but continued north on I-270 after the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or might know the identity of the driver of the red car is asked to call police at 301-644-4151.

The car is possibly a Honda Civic and might have a spoiler. The passenger side of the car should be damaged, police said.
