PRINCETON, W.Va. - Shepherd University's Dustin Dudinski was named the special teams player of the week after returning a punt 38 yards for a touchdown in a 56-7 win over WVU Tech.

Shepherd blanks Carlow



SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd University used a balanced attack Sunday en route to a 7-0 win over Carlow University.

Freshman forward Jennifer Corkran scored a goal and assisted another, while sophomore midfielder Brittany Sweeney had a pair of assists to lead the Rams.

Ashley Gossert, a Boonsboro graduate, Dana Kaufman, Brandie DeWitt of South Hagerstown, Lauren Cepko, Tara Roberts and Katie Moore, of Jefferson, each added goals for the Rams.

Shepherd improved to 4-6-1.

Thunder ties for pool title



GLEN BURNIE, Md. - The Tri-State Thunder, a traveling 18U girls fastpitch softball team, played in a college showcase tournament, finishing 3-1.

Hag. Senators 9, Savage 7

Hagerstown: Mark Grunberg and Trip Britton, two hits and two stolen bases each. Zane Schreiber, two-run, game-winning triple.

The Senators rallied from a four-run deficit in the sixth to win.
