Voting machines demonstration set in Berkeley County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Representatives of West Virginia Secretary of State Betty Ireland will be in the Eastern Panhandle Friday as part of a demonstration of new voting machines.

The secretary of state's office and Election Systems & Software will be at the Berkeley County Courthouse in Martinsburg, W.Va., on Friday at 1 p.m. to show Panhandle officials how the new machines work.

The machines are expected to be delivered to counties in January and to be used in the voting at the 2006 primary and general election.
