Grandparents as Caregivers support

Tuesday, Oct. 4, Covenant Presbyterian Church, 11833 Greenhill Drive, Hagerstown. Sponsored by Washington County Commission on Aging to offer support and education to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. MOMS Club Hagerstown North Chapter

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m., Homewood Retirement Village, Williamsport. This chapter of the national nonprofit support group is for all mothers who stay at home with their children. Angela Borum will speak about children and allergies. The group is looking for moms interested in starting the MOMS Club - Hagerstown, South Chapter. Headway support

Tuesday, Oct. 4, 7 to 9 p.m., Robinwood Medical Center first-floor conference room near the vending machines, 11110 Medical Campus Road, Hagerstown. Use the yellow entrance. The speaker will be Ron Shives, head of the Navigator Program, which helps disabled people find employment. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month to offer support for survivors of traumatic head and brain injuries and their families. Call 301-714-4028.

Labor of Love support

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 7 p.m., Washington County Hospital, room 124 in Pangborn Hall, 251 E. Antietam St., Hagers-town. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month and is open to anyone who has experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn loss. Call 301-739-3863.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill

Washington County, Tuesday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, corner of North Potomac Street and Randolph Avenue, Hagers-town. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month to educate and inform residents of Washington County about mental illness and to support individuals with mental illness and their families and caregivers.
