Wakichipi Pow-wow and Show

Twenty American Indian dancers are expected, as well as Aztec dancers from Mexico City. Also, craft demonstrations and sale of crafts, food, storytelling, pony rides, face painting and a tepee. Appalachian Heritage Festival

Ernie Hawkins is a featured performer. There also will be workshops, dance, storytelling, literature and old-time, gospel and bluegrass music. Today and Saturday. Katrina benefit fair

"Let's Just Do It" fair will benefit the American Red Cross and those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Bluegrass bands and country gospel singers; flea market and antiques vendors; living history event and talks one block from the square; family pet events for dogs showing a valid rabies certificate and on a leash.
