City of Hagerstown

The Hagerstown/Washington County Showcase of Minority/Women/Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities-Owned Businesses and Merchandise will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Hagerstown.

The event will showcase businesses owned by women, minorities, seniors and individuals with disabilities in Hagerstown and Washington County, along with the merchandise they sell and the services they provide. Participating businesses will have an opportunity to promote sales and give out pamphlets about their companies.

Applications are available in the Wal-Mart Layaway Department. Deadline for entries is Sept. 30. Entries may be faxed to Wal-Mart Store Manager James Hornsby at 301-766-7590.

There is no charge to the business owner for this event. More information can be obtained by contacting Hornsby at 301-714-1373.


Chambersburg Mall

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chambersburg Mall has begun to offer mall gift cards as well as American Express gift cards. The cards are available for purchase at the mall's Customer Service Center.

Chambersburg Mall is owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, or PREIT.

Mall gift cards are redeemable at any retailer that accepts American Express at 36 participating PREIT malls. The American Express gift card is redeemable at any retailer nationwide that welcomes American Express.

Mall gift cards are available in amounts from $20 to $300. There is a $2 fee to purchase a mall gift card. The fee is waived for corporate orders of $1,000 or more, as well as for nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Dice Imaging

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Xerox Corporation has announced that Dice Imaging of Greencastle and Mount Union, Pa., is an authorized dealer to sell and service Xerox copier/printer products in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Dice Imaging will offer sales, service and supplies for Xerox copiers and printers.

FREDERICK, Md. - Dan Ryan Builders Inc., a residential builder headquartered in Frederick with divisions in Martinsburg, W.Va., Winchester, Va., and Hagerstown, has received the prestigious Builder of Integrity award from Quality Builders Warranty Corporation.

The award acknowledges excellence in customer service, demonstrated integrity, and quality construction, according to a prepared release.

As a member of the QBW Program, Dan Ryan Builders has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in customer service that has gone above and beyond the industry norm, according to the release. The Builder of Integrity award acknowledges this commitment, the release says.
