Bowers Insurance launches Web site to aid contractors

September 25, 2005

Bowers Insurance of Hagerstown has launched a Web site dedicated to addressing the insurance issues and questions shared by residential and commercial building contractors.

"Current difficulties in the insurance market have hit few industries as hard as contractors, particularly residential general contractors, so they need to be fully informed and thoroughly prepared to deal with insurance matters," John M. Bowers, president of Bowers Insurance, said in a prepared release.

"Our Web site will serve as a resource specifically for contractors who have questions and concerns about insurance issues. It will help them find their answers as they try to obtain the insurance they need," he said.

On the Web at www.bowers insurescontractors.com, the site offers information specifically for employers in the construction trades on insurance-related matters such as bonding, liability coverage, and Workers' Compensation.

The information on the Web site is intended for companies of all sizes, small to large, as well as tradespeople, the release says.
