Telework Center

September 22, 2005

The Hagerstown Telework Center offers an alternative workplace for commuters, startup businesses and employees of businesses that need additional or satellite office space.

The telework center, at the Elizabeth Hager Center, 14 N. Potomac St., Suite 200, offers module workstations, private and shared offices with computers, conference rooms, and a training lab with 16 computers and an office theater projector.

There is a fully equipped computer classroom and a large lecture classroom.

Copiers, printers and fax machines are available. Users have access to a broadband Internet connection.

To help the region meet its air-quality goals, the center was designed as a remote work site that would enable federal workers to cut back on commuting.

The center also is home to the Center for Business and Training, a nonprofit group that serves as a small-business incubator.

The center is a convenient workplace for students, researchers, independent contractors and business travelers and for home-based business people to hold meetings.
