Hawks sweep Prince George's

Williamsport graduate Staci Grabill tallied 17 assists and five aces as Hagerstown Community College swept visiting Prince George's Community College in Maryland JuCo Conference action.

Katie Spoonire had seven kills and six aces for the Hawks (18-0, 4-0) while Lindsey Plotner added seven digs, six kills, four aces and three blocks. Savanah Wetzel had six aces for Hagerstown.


Shippensburg 3 No. 3 Greencastle 1

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Mandi Mentzer recorded 15 points, nine digs and four aces for Greencastle in a 25-14, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22 nondivision loss to Shippensburg.

Whitney Meyers had 12 blocks and six kills for the Blue Devils (6-1) and Jade Dunhour added 12 assists, nine points and five digs. Michelle Negley had nine digs and seven points for Greencastle.


JV: Greencastle 25-19, 25-16.

Broadfording 3, St. James 0

Hannah Young had 20 points, including 14 aces, to lead Broadfording Christian Academy to a 25-15, 25-12, 25-8 sweep over nonconference opponent St. James.

Sierra Litten added nine assists, five points and five digs for the Lions (9-1).

Grace Academy 3, CVCS 0

Kristin Serafini led Grace Academy with 11 points and nine assists in a 25-18, 25-11, 25-23 sweep of Cumberland Valley Christian School in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference matchup.

Serafini also recorded four aces for the Knights (4-1, 3-1). Megan Cox added seven assists and seven kills while Rebecca Morgan had six assists and six kills.


CVCS 1, Grace Academy 0

Grace Academy fell to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in Mason Dixon Christian Conference play after a shutout loss to Cumberland Valley Christian.

Jake Reese and Chris Krampegal combined for four saves for Grace.
