Due to a reporter's error, a story in Tuesday's Morning Herald about Linda Irvin-Craig being named Woman of the Year by the Hagerstown Business and Professional Women's Club misspelled the name of Irvin-Craig's cat. The cat's name was Mushmelon. The story also should have said that Irvin-Craig was a CB radio operator.

Due to a source's error, a story on page A3 of Tuesday's Morning Herald said Williamsport's new bookkeeper will work for the town for the rest of the year. Mayor James G. McCleaf II said Tuesday that it is a permanent part-time position of 10 to 15 hours a week. However, the bookkeeper will work extra hours this year until the town catches up on its financial records, he said.

Due to a reporter's error, the name of the site manager at the Alexander House was incorrect in a story on pages D2 and D3 in Silver Spirit in Tuesday's Morning Herald. Her name is Emma Reger.

Due to an editor's error, an art gallery was incorrectly identified in a photo caption accompanying the calendar of events on page D3 of Thursday's edition of Out & About and on page E2 in Sunday's edition of The Herald-Mail. The painting "Shine On" by Mick Williams will be on display at the Benjamin Art Gallery, 1303 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, from Sept. 30 through Oct. 8.

The Herald apologizes for the errors.
