Library hosts International Talk Like a Pirate Day

The Washington County Free Library will host activities for children and adults at it cvelebration of International Talk like a Pirate Day on Monday, Sept. 19.

Visitors to WCFL's downtown Hagerstown library can talk like a pirate. Library staff and walls will be decked out in a pirate theme. A trivia contest sheet will be available; answers will be found in the many books available at the library. The winner chosen from entry with the most correct answers will receive "Pirates of the Caribbean" DVD.

Valerie Minteer will talk about "Antiques and Treasures" at a brown bag lunch discussion at noon. Activities conclude with a 7 p.m. showing of a pirate movie.
