United Way Day of Caring kicks off Tuesday

JEFFERSON COUNTY, W.Va.

The United Way of Jefferson County's 10th annual kick off of the Day of Caring is Tuesday, Sept. 13.

The Day of Caring is an annual United Way event matching teams of volunteers from local employers and individuals wanting to help with volunteer projects of United Way member agencies. The official kickoff for the United Way Day of Caring in Berkeley and Morgan counties will be at 7:30 a.m. at War Memorial Park with a continental breakfast provided by City Hospital.

In Jefferson County, two kickoff breakfasts will be held: One at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown, W.Va., at 7:30 a.m., and another kickoff breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at Citizen's Fire Co. in Charles Town. Following the breakfasts, volunteers will proceed to various project sites.
