Concert of remembrance

FREDERICK, Md. - A community mass choir consisting of volunteers from Frederick County churches and One God One Voice Chorus will present a concert of remembrance and hope to commemorate Sept. 11 and recognize those from Frederick County who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The concert will be at 7 p.m. at Governor Thomas Johnson High School. A freewill offering will benefit Good News Jail & Prison Ministry in Frederick County.

Remembrance service

Community Rescue Service on Eastern Boulevard will hold a remembrance service as part of CRS' 50th anniversary event.

The service begins at noon.

Remembrance parade

BOONSBORO - The First Hose Co. of Boonsboro will hold a remembrance parade in memory of personnel who lost their lives on Sept. 11. Men and women in the military who have lost their lives and those who presently are serving their country also will be remembered.


The parade begins at 5 p.m. along Main Street.

Candlelight vigil

A Sept. 11 remembrance service and candlelight vigil will be held at 7 p.m. in the band shell at City Park in Hagerstown.

Hagerstown Mayor Richard Trump will be the speaker. The South Hagerstown High School Show Choir will perform.

Remembrance service

BRUNSWICK, Md. - The City of Brunswick and Frederick County will sponsor a remembrance service at 7 p.m. at Square Corner Park.
