Four features scheduled for Speedway Saturday

September 02, 2005

HAGERSTOWN, MD - Intermittent rain showers throughout the morning and afternoon and the forecast of heavier rain later in the day forced Promoter Frank Plessinger to cancel Small Fry Night at the Hagerstown Speedway last week.

The Ernie's Salvage Yard pure stock double point championship feature has been rescheduled to this Saturday.

The 75-lap Championship enduro scheduled for last Saturday has been rescheduled for Saturday night, Sept. 10, as part of Ernie's Salvage Night of Specials.

Hagerstown will return to action tomorrow, with the 20th Annual Ronnie McBee/Ron Hays Memorial. The 44-lap memorial for the late models will pay $2,500 to the winner and the double-point event will go a long way in determining the track champion. Joining the late models will be the late-model sportsman and pure stocks. The pure stocks will have two feature events including the 15-lap double-point championship postponed from Aug. 20. Race time is 7 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m.
