September 02, 2005

The Hagerstown suns put together two four-run innings, one in the fourth and the other in the seventh, and pounded out 11 hits - six for doubles - in an 11-4 thumping of the Lakewood BlueClaws on Thursday night.

Kyle Brown's three-run home run in the seventh ended all the drama as the Suns (26-37 South Atlantic League second half) took a 10-3 lead.

Carlos Gomez, James Burt and Rafael Arroyo all had two hits for the Suns. Brown drove in four runs, while Burt, Arroyo and Armand Gaerlan all drove in two.

Jon Castillo earned his first win with the Suns, allowing two hits and two runs in five innings, walking three and striking out three.
