Jazz saxophonist Euge Groove to visit South High alma mater

Jazz saxophonist Steven Eugene Grove, a 1980 South Hagerstown High School graduate, will visit the school's band room at 7 p.m. today.

Known as Euge Groove in the entertainment world, he will play songs from his new CD, "Just Feels Right," which is being released nationwide. Grove has played for musicians such as Paula Abdul, Tina Turner, and Huey Lewis and the News. He is the opening act for Joe Cocker.

Future plans include having Grove work with students in music workshops when he is not touring. Copies of his CD will be available for $20, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the South High band program.
