NEW FRANKLIN, Pa. - One man was killed Sunday night in a collision between a vehicle and motorcycles in the 5000 block of Pa. 316 in Guilford Township, according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner.

Conner said the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 9:05 p.m. The crash occurred on the crest of a hill about a half-mile east of the Grindstone Hill Road intersection, he said.

Conner said the crash involved more than one motorcycle, but he did not say how many, or how many other people were injured. The identity of the man killed had not been released by Conner as of 10:30 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police were still on the scene, he said.

A dispatcher at the Franklin County 911 center said the accident was called in at 8:24 p.m. and three ambulances were sent to the scene. A medical evacuation helicopter was also called in, the dispatcher said.
