College volleyball - Rams open season with a split

INDIANA, Pa.

The Shepherd University volleyball team opened its season with a split Friday, beating Gannon 22-30, 30-19, 30-24, 32-30 before losing 30-17, 30-19, 30-26 to Pace at the Indiana Tournament.

Against Gannon, Kristy Cramer, a Chambersburg graduate, had 24 assists for the Rams, while Taylor Darnley had 16 kills and Susanna Hill, a Grace Academy grad, had 10 digs.

Darnley had nine kills and six digs against Pace, while Cramer added 14 assists.
