Back-to-school video airs through Sunday

Washington County Public Schools' annual back-to-school video will air on Antietam Cable Channel 99 through Sunday.

The video airs each day every two hours from midnight to 10 p.m.

The video is coordinated through the school systems' public information office each year and highlights the accomplishments of the past year and the challenges of the coming year.

Greencastle-Antrim will sponsor fair

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The Greencastle-Antrim High School Social Studies Department will sponsor the second annual Community Service Fair in the high school cafeteria on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

The fair will provide students and their parents with information about volunteer opportunities available in the community. Students must complete 30 hours of community service to graduate.


Representatives from community groups will share information on the types of volunteer experiences they offer, and sign-up sheets and community service forms will be available.

Nonprofit community organizations that have not received an invitation to the fair may contact Ellen Kirk-ner at 717-597- 2186 for more information.

Shepherd to host hospitality tent

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd University Foundation will host a home game hospitality tent Saturday on the midway between the Student Center and Sara Cree Hall at Shepherd College beginning at 11 a.m.

The hospitality tent is open to the public.

Shepherd plays Virginia State at 1 p.m.

Elementary school to host breakfast

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -South Jefferson Elementary School will host a breakfast Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

School staff, Shepherd College students and members of the Jefferson County Board of Education are expected to attend.
