LEITERSBURG
A two-vehicle accident Friday night at the intersection of Little Antietam Road and Leitersburg Pike sent five people to Washington County Hospital for treatment, according to a written release from Maryland State Police.
The accident, which was reported at 10:17 p.m., occurred when a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, traveling west on Leitersburg Pike, was struck by a 2005 Honda Civic, which had failed to stop at a stop sign after traveling north on Little Antietam Road, the release states.
The driver of the Honda Civic, Ryan David Klipp, 25, of Hagerstown, was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, police said.
