Auditions for band and orchestra

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra's senior and intermediate orchestras and its new symphonic band will hold auditions. 1 to 8 p.m. Frederick Church of the Brethren, Second Street and Fairview Avenue. Auditions for '110 in the Shade'

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Those auditioning will read from the script and sing a prepared song. Roles are available for adult men and women, singers and dancers. Help is needed for costuming, props, set construction, painting and lighting. Volunteers are needed to help with makeup, hair styling, stage crew, ushers, concession stand, etc. 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday, Aug. 23; and 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24. Auditions for Shakespeare play

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd University Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players will hold auditions for Shakespeare's "Troilus and Cressida." In this tragicomedy about the Trojan War, Shakespeare takes a satirical look at war, love, honor and betrayal. 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday, Aug. 25. Shepherd University, Reynolds Hall. Choral Arts auditions

Hagerstown Choral Arts will hold open auditions for all vocal parts, especially altos, tenors and basses. 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sanctuary of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, corner of Washington and Mulberry streets, Hagerstown.
