Centennial Heritage Festival

Featuring demonstrations in silver weaving, spindle wool spinning, glass bead making and trapping. Also, craft and trade vendors, bake sale, classic car show and more. Entertainment will be provided by Rohrersville Band, an Elvis impersonator, brass ensemble and gospel singers. Activities for children. Today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home, 8507 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro.

Fairplay Days

The event includes a jousting tournament and food. Proceeds from the event help maintain park grounds. Interested participants must bring their own horse and members of the Western Maryland Jousting Club will teach you how to joust. There will be a jousting clinic today at 8:30 a.m. Today and Sunday, tournament from noon to about 5 p.m., Old Tilghmanton Woods, take Md. 65 (Sharpsburg Pike) south and turn left onto Manor Church Road. Jamaican Festival

The festival will provide a slice of Jamaican culture while raising money for the Memorial Recreation Center on West North Avenue in Hagerstown. Today, noon to 8 p.m., Wheaton Park, off Sumans Avenue, Hagerstown. Free.


Peach festival

Food includes peach pies, sliced peaches, sandwiches, soups, ice cream, drinks and baked goods. Proceeds will benefit Vacation Bible School. Held rain or shine. Today, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Paul's Church, U.S. 40 west of Hagerstown, near Clear Spring.

Martinsburg Bike Night

Following a 20-mile, police-escorted parade of motorcycles through Berkeley and Jefferson counties, riders will park their bikes in downtown Martinsburg for the evening so bike enthusiasts can check out each other's wheels, visit motorcycle-related vendors, listen to live music and shop. Today, 6 to 11 p.m., downtown Martinsburg, W.Va. Free. Motorcyclists participating in the parade are asked to donate $5 at registration. Call 304-262-4200 or send e-mail to


The event will include entertainment by Mom and Me, carnival games and an accelerator slide. Sponsored by Hagerstown Community College Student Government Association. Donations of school supplies will be accepted for Children in Need. Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., Hagerstown Community College, Alumni Amphitheater, Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown.

Cruise-in car show

Country Roads Car Club will host its Summer Cruise-in Car Show, open to all makes, models and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Trophies will be awarded to the top 40 cars and trucks, top five motorcycles and best of show. Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m., Jefferson County Fairgrounds, three miles west of Charles Town, W.Va., on Leetown Pike.

Concert series

Yellow Springs Band of Frederick, Md., will perform. The band plays a variety of favorites including marches, overtures, Broadway tunes and oldies. Sunday, 6 p.m., Shafer Park, Boonsboro.

Municipal band

Hagerstown Municipal Band will perform. Gregory Shook, obie soloist, will present "Sonata in A Minor" by Telemann. This is the last concert of the season. Sunday, 8 p.m., City Park band shell, Hagerstown.
