WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A 90-year-old woman died Friday afternoon when she crashed her car on Old Forge Road in Quincy Township, Pa., Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner said.

Helen C. Miller, 90, of Michaux Manor Living Center, 11302 South Mountain Road in Fayetteville, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 3:32 p.m., he said.

Miller was southbound in the 8000 block of Old Forge Road when she lost control of her Buick Regal on a left curve, Pennsylvania State Police said in a written release.

The car traveled off the west side of the road, re-entered the road, crossed the double yellow center line, and struck a road sign and a utility pole on the east side of the road, according to the release.

Her car crossed the road again, this time striking a tree stump, sending the car airborne, according to the release.

The car came to a rest in a small stream on the west side of the road, police said.

Miller was not wearing a seat belt, the release states.

She died from blunt force trauma, Conner said.

The 911 call came in for the accident at 2:42 p.m., he said.
