Douglas J. Riedy, son of Kevin D. and Virginia G. Riedy of Chambersburg, Pa., has graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash.

Riedy, a 2002 graduate of Cumberland Valley Christian School in Chambersburg, is attending Shippensburg (Pa.) University.




Abraham H. Phares, son of T. Michael and Meredith M. Phares of Hagerstown, has graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash.

Phares is a 2003 graduate of Williamsport High School and received an associate's degree in 2005 from the New Mexico Military Institute.




Army National Guard Spec. Charles T. Hamburg, son of Rose M. Keeney of Thurmont, Md., and brother of Mary Keeney of Frederick, Md., has completed the Army National Guard's two-week annual training at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C. Hamburg is a member of the Maryland National Guard's 3rd Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light), headquartered in Baltimore. He is assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 115th Infantry Regiment, based in Frederick.

His wife, Margaret, is the daughter of Ralph Stream of Frederick.

Hamburg is a 1982 graduate of Frederick High School.




Army National Guard Spec. Matthew Condlithe, son of Donald P. Condlithe of Frederick, Md., has completed the Army National Guard's two-week annual training at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C. Condlithe is a member of the Maryland National Guard's 3rd Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light), headquartered in Baltimore. He is assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 115th Infantry Regiment, based in Frederick.

Condlithe is an indirect fire infantryman with four years of military service.




Army National Guard Spec. Charlie B. Fisher, son of Richard E. and Julia A. Fisher of Jefferson, Md., and brother of Timothy W. Fisher of Walkersville, Md., has completed the Army National Guard's two-week annual training at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C. Fisher is a member of the Maryland National Guard's 3rd Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light), headquartered in Baltimore. Fisher is assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 115th Infantry Regiment, based in Frederick, Md.

His wife, Jaime, is the daughter of Russell and Laurie Smith of Keymar, Md.

Fisher is a 1990 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson Evening High School in Frederick.




Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Raymond W. Ridgley, son of William H. and Alma A. Ridgley of Frederick, Md., has completed the Army National Guard's two-week annual training at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C. Ridgley is a member of the Maryland National Guard's 3rd Brigade, 29th Infantry Division (Light), headquartered in Baltimore. The guard member is assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 115th Infantry Regiment, based in Frederick.

Ridgley is a 1977 graduate of Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Md. He received a bachelor's degree in 1982 from the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.




Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Pierce T. Franklin, son of Dr. Lawrence A. and Patricia T. Franklin of Kearneysville, W.Va., has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Franklin is a 2004 graduate of Martinsburg (W.Va.) Christian Academy.




Air Force Airman 1st Class Jessie K. Huynh, daughter of Kiet Huynh of Frederick, Md., has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Huynh is a 1999 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick. She received a bachelor's degree in 2003 from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif.




Army Master Sgt. Darryl L. Brenzel, son of Glenn and Marjorie Brenzel of Mocksville, N.C., is a member of the U.S. Army Field Band, the Army's touring musical organization, headquartered at Fort George G. Meade, Md. He will be touring the United States as past of the Summer 2005 Concert performances. Brenzel plays the saxophone.

His wife, Jennifer, is the daughter of George Hunter and Paula Hunter, both of Frederick, Md.

Brenzel is a 1979 graduate of Germantown (Md.) Central School.
