August 11, 2005

GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the third straight night, Hagerstown drew first blood but couldn't hang on to grab a victory, losing to Greensboro 4-3 on Wednesday.

The Suns (13-28 second half, 55-56 overall) took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the third and fourth innings before the Bats surged back with a three-run fourth.

Hagerstown opened the scoring on a home run by Rafael Arroyo and added its second run on a single by Ambiorix Concepcion, who stole second and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Jim Burt.

Kyle Brown led off the sixth for Hagerstown as he was hit by a pitch before moving to second on a groundout. He scored on a Greensboro fielding error.

However, the Bats broke the 3-3 tie with a solo run in the eighth on a run-producing single by Brian Cleveland off Suns reliever Joseph Serfass.
