Salon to offer free haircuts to children of military personnel

August 10, 2005

Hair stylists from several area salons will be donating their time and skills to offer free back-to-school haircuts to the children of military personnel, both active and veterans, on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Venetian Salon and Spa at 431 Dual Highway.

The "Style for Freedom" event is meant to demonstrate appreciation and support for military members and their families, according to a press release from organizers.

All children of military personnel, ages 5 through college, are eligible. No appointments are necessary. Donations will be accepted to buy phone cards for hospitalized veterans.
