A Hancock woman killed Saturday in a one-vehicle accident in Franklin County was recalled by a sister as "always the strong one who was there for everyone else."

Michelle D. Huff, 39, of 13822 Vantz St., was killed Saturday when the 1988 Ford F-150 in which she was riding ran off Little Cove Road in Warren Township, struck a tree and rolled over, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Her husband, Steven L. Huff, 45, refused treatment at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa. His granddaughter, 4-year-old Makayla Huff of Hagerstown, was taken to a hospital in Johnstown, Pa., but was released the next day, said Steven Huff's mother, Betty Huff.

Teresa Nutter said her sister graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1983 and played softball as a teenager.

She is survived by her mother, Lillie Younker of Hagerstown, two brothers, another sister, three stepsons, nieces and nephews, Teresa Nutter said.

"She was so full of life," Teresa said. "She liked to take her on weekends and do things with her," she said of Makayla.

In addition to her family, she said Michelle Huff had one other great interest.

"If you asked what her interests were, everybody would say her dogs," she said. Teresa Nutter said her sister owned 10 or more dogs at one time.

"If there was a stray dog, she would take it in," she said.
