Workshop aimed at those needing info to start business

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Small Business Development Center of the Community and Technical College, Shepherd, will hold a workshop for those who would like to obtain information related to opening their own businesses.

The workshop, How to Start a Business in West Virginia, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at United Bank, 106 W. Washington St., Charles Town, W.Va.

Pre-registration is required and there is a $15 fee. The deadline to register is Aug. 12.

"This workshop is designed to help someone think through all the steps so they can open a successful business," Program Manager Christina Lundberg, of the Small Business Development Center, Community and Technical College, said in a prepared release.

The Small Business Development Center is a division of the West Virginia Development Office. It works with colleges, universities and other host institutions to provide free business consulting and technical assistance at 14 locations across the state.
