Paramount Baptist aids World Changers

August 05, 2005

Six members of Paramount Baptist Church joined more than 300 youth and their leaders July 23 to 30 for a World Changers national construction project in Schenectady, N.Y.

During the week, students spent their days roofing, painting, rebuilding porches and repairing homes of Schenectady residents. In the evenings, the youth participated in worship, Bible study and team-building activities.

Youth from Paramount Baptist Church participating in the project were Abigail Hayes, Michael Hull, Jennifer Keefer and Jonathan Keefer. William and Hilary Cooper were group leaders.

Participants said meeting youth from other churches and learning how to serve as a team were highlights of the week. Others said they enjoyed getting to know the residents whose homes they were repairing.

William Cooper, youth director at Paramount Baptist Church, said World Changers worked on 26 projects, shared the Gospel with 170 people in the community, saw nine people saved and three rededicate their lives to the Lord.

This summer, more than 25,000 students were registered to participate in more than 100 World Changers projects around the globe.
