"My comment is in regards to You Said It. It is doing a disservice to the community by printing comments demonstrating no value to its readers. Case in point is the recent continuous stream of messages that congratulate various family pets that learned to eat, drink, swim, walk, crawl, etc. Upon You Said It's introduction to the public, it was a very informative and necessary way for readers to voice their concerns, complaints, outrages and successes. You Said It is beginining to become irrelevant, and eventually will lose the very readers who were attracted to it in the first place. The person or persons who are responsible for selecting subject matter must use the common sense approach to what is printed if You Said It is going to matter and be relevant to its majority readership."
"We are proud of the Rhoderick men. All three participated in the tractor pulling: Paul, Matthew and Art Robert Rhoderick. Operating a dairy farm as they do does not allow the extra time for diversions, or late hours. As their kin, we are aware of what they are up against. After Ag Expo week, I wish all participants could sleep a week. Well, maybe if they could sleep in the next morning, that would be good."

"Just because I don't like Bush like other people do doesn't necessarily mean I don't go to church and I don't believe in God. I'm a person who goes to church and believes in God. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so please have some respect."
"Thanks so much for the comment about the fish learning to swim. I laughed my head off."
"To the people who trap pets. You let their natural enemy away, they get the upper hand. When you start dumping mice out of your cereal boxes, you'll understand. Disease will go rampant."
"This call is for the lady who lost a portfolio on Robinwood Drive. There is no identification whatsoever in the book. If you would like to have it back, you can call me at 301-790-3672."
"I agree with the person who said that it does matter what you wear to church. You go to respect the building and you also respect God and people. The pastor is to respect you, too; he's supposed to dress accordingly. He should stand out amongst the other people with a suit and tie."
"This is for you, Richard 'R.J.' Roby. Congratulations on making the honor roll again. Keep up the good work. It won't be long 'til you're back in school; enjoy the rest of the summer. Love ya! Thank you, You Said It. You've been putting the letters in and I'm so tickled I don't know what to do. Thank you very, very much, and have a good week and keep cool."
"To the individual who said he signed the petition for lights in Greenberry Hills last year without being fully informed. The campaign was begun three months ago, and all petitions were accompanied by a two-page explanation as to the proposed placement, cost and procedure. Allegheny Power will work with the residents to please each and every one as to the placement of the lights. We, the committee, are trying to ensure safety and security for our residents. Yes, Greenberry Hills is 50 years old and a nice place to live, so let's keep it that way. Remember, times have changed. We have to do things differently."
"It's time for cameras at traffic lights in Hagerstown. Not only would Hagerstown make a ton of money, we could pull out safely on green lights. Our first choice for camera lights would be Dual Highway and Eastern Boulevard."
"I'd like to respond to Charley Reese's column on feminism. I don't know where it says that feminism is about sex, because there is nothing in feminism about sex. For him to say that young men are allowed to be promiscuous while young women aren't - who are the young men sleeping with? This just angers me that he would even say this because feminism is about much more than sex. And to refer to women as 'stupid feminists' - whatever. Get a hold of yourself, Mr. Reese."
