August 02, 2005

The Humane Society of Washington County will conduct an orientation for potential volunteers Saturday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There is an ongoing need for volunteers to walk and bathe dogs, socialize cats, clean housing units and help with laundry and dishes as well as to provide foster care to special needs animals.

The society asks that volunteers commit to two hours per week for six months. Young people between ages of 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a qualified adult.
