Newville Area Community Center will offer a digital camera camp Monday, Aug. 1, through Thursday, Aug. 4. Ages 5 to 7 will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and ages 8 to 10 will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Registration is open to 15 campers per class.

Students will use cameras provided to take pictures, edit them on the computer and print them. The cost is $86.

Band to perform in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Md. - The City of Brunswick will host the band Loose Connection from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Square Corner Park.

French film to be shown in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. - CinemArts will present the French film, "A Very Long Engagement," at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Cultural Arts Center, 15 W. Patrick St. Admission is $5.


The film, set in France near the end of World War I, tells the tale of a young woman's search for her fianc.

Theater company plans fundraising campaign

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - "Catch the Theatre Bug" is the theme for Chambersburg Community Theatre's upcoming season and the theater company is celebrating during the first week of August to kick off a fundraising campaign.

Activities during the week will culminate in a cash drawing at the Marine Corps League on Saturday, Aug. 6. Tickets for the cash drawing are $25. Tickets are available by calling
