Civil War artillery weekend


Uniformed historians will demonstrate the loading and firing of Civil War-period artillery. Programs will be offered Saturday at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.; and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Washington Monument State Park, off Alt. U.S. 40 at Washington Monument Road, Boonsboro. A campfire program featuring loading and firing firearms will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. at Greenbrier State Park, off U.S. 40, east of Hagerstown. Train and toy show


Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club will hold its annual train and toy show. All scales of trains will be displayed and sold, plus Lionel parts, train accessories, collectibles and memorabilia; Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Winross vehicles; and antique and collectible toys.
