FREDERICK - Drees Homes is one of the most respected homebuilders in America, with over 75 years of experience in building more than 3,000 custom homes a year in nine metropolitan areas.

The company's newest division in Frederick, Md. has expanded its successful custom home communities beyond Frederick County. The Frederick division offers a mix of single-family, townhome, or condominium homes at 10 communities in Frederick and Washington counties in Maryland and Berkeley County in West Virginia, with future communities planned throughout the region. "We are delighted with the tremendous reception we have received from new home buyers," said Barry Weller, division sales manager.

Drees Homes is one of the top 25 builders in the nation: the firm has won the industry's "Triple Crown" by being named National Builder of The Year and winning the National Housing Quality Award and the America's Best Builder Award.

The Customer Care Program provided by Drees guides buyers through the home-building process from start to finish and beyond. "We are committed to unsurpassed customer care. The same attention to detail you find in our homes you'll find in our customer care," said Weller.

The new Drees communities offer a wide variety of homes for buyers at several levels. Located just off Rt. 9 in southern Berkley County is Drees' single-family community, The Village at Washington Trail. The Village at Washington Trail is located within the historic Washington Heritage Trail. Planned to include stone pillars, wrought iron signage and lampposts, a community courtyard and walking trails, The Village at Washington Trail is close to MARC train and major commuter routes. Shopping and dining are close by in Martinsburg or Charles Town. Drees' fully merchandised model, a Catoctin plan, was scheduled to open July 15. The Catoctin has four bedrooms; the master suite features two walk-in closets, and a well-planned master bath. The large family room and a well-appointed kitchen highlight the first floor.

In southeastern Washington County, Drees has opened Fletcher's Grove in Boonsboro.

Fletcher's Grove features both single-family homes and townhomes in a country setting that is still convenient. The single-family model is an Antietam. The model is nearing completion and is scheduled to open in mid-September.

The Antietam is a four-bedroom plan with a master suite featuring a private sitting area, two walk-in closets, and a deluxe master bath. The large family room, study, dining room, living room, and a spacious kitchen complete the first floor. Drees plans to have the townhome model open in early 2006. The richly appointed Meadowlea plan offers three levels of living space. This roomy model features three bedrooms, and two full and two half bathrooms. Options such as a custom kitchen with a gourmet cooking island, morning room and sitting room add a rich level of comfort to this beautiful home.
