Board member Phil Ulzheimer was elected vice chairman. Peggy Bushey is the new treasurer.

The PenMar board is appointed by the Washington County Commissioners.

PenMar has been breaking state law

The PenMar Development Corp. has been violating state law by not allowing ex-officio board members to vote, PenMar Executive Director Rich Rook said Monday.

Rook said he found out about the violation after a meeting with the Department of Legislative Services.

Rook said PenMar's bylaws prohibit ex-officio members from voting. He recommended that PenMar change the language in its bylaws to allow the members to vote.

The PenMar board said it will consider changes and discuss it at next month's meeting.
