Santana was signed as a free agent in 2003 and has played lower level seasons in the organization. He has hit .207 in 50 games with four doubles, a home run and 11 RBI. He was 1-for-3 on Friday.
Pitcher Joe Surfass was added to the Suns roster on Friday and pitched one scoreless inning his debut. Surfass was signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2004 and went 2-1 for the Mets rookie team with a 2.79 ERA in 12 games. He picked up two saves in 19 1/3 innings of work, allowing seven runs on 19 hits and four walks while striking out 20.

The Suns play Weekend Warriors again, coming in for four games at the end of the week.
Hagerstown completes its two-game set at West Virginia (Brewers) today before heading for two games at Lake County (Indians).
