"I am calling about all these railroad blocks. Why do they let the train station over there near the Tannery fall apart? I used to catch that train to Westminster when I has a kid. We have all of this stuff and nobody wants to take care of it."

- Williamsport

"We would like to congratulate Kevin Reiber on his recent Tri-State golfing wins and wish him the best of luck at Towson University next year. We will look forward to following his progress."

- Waynesboro, Pa.

"If we impeach President Bush, then that means they would make Cheney president. I'm not sure we are ready for that. I think he would be worse off than with Bush."

- Funkstown

"I am just calling to hope that the person in Sharpsburg who took my American flag off my front porch and broke the pole is very proud of what they own now. It's not the fact that you stole the flag. I just hope it gets to them and they will get caught later on when they steal again and they will get put in jail."

- Sharpsburg

"I'm calling about the person who responded to what I said about Clinton not going to Vietnam. I didn't say anything about the president going to war. I said his daughters. If Bush wanted to send everybody else's sons and daughters over, he should tell his own to go. Nobody said anything about Clinton. All I am saying is impeach Bush now before it is too late."

- Hagerstown

"I live in the country and I called the Board of Education's transportation department to register my son to ride the school bus when school starts. The bus goes down our road but the closest it stops is at the other end of the road. When I called the transportation department they told me that I had to wait until the schedules are made out and check the board about two weeks before school starts and then call them back and they will adjust the schedule for me. Why can't they do this before they do the scheduling? This makes no sense to me."

- Williamsport

"Thanks to Kingdom's Kids and the ministry's from Gateway Ministry for the powerful, patriotic music of 'In God We Trust.' It was fantastic!"

- Hagerstown

"I was just wondering if the Williamsport Class of 1990 was going to have a class reunion this year or not."

- Williamsport

"I just called that new hot line number for medical advice at the hospital. I was in pain at the time when I called and they started asking me all these questions. And I know they need your last name and to know how to spell it. But they wanted to know how to spell my first name, Linda. They wanted to know if it was spelled with a 'y' or and 'I.' I was like, 'either way it is spelled Linda' and I was in pain and they were worried on how to spell my name. If they were going to ask that many questions, I should have just gone right to the hospital."

- Hagerstown

"I would just like to say thanks to the fairgrounds and my sister, Bonnie, for giving us another great Fourth of July, especially the fireworks and the picnic."

- Leitersburg

"Community Action Council needs a volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Williamsport, Virginia Avenue area. If you are interested, please call Debbie at 301-797-4161."

- Williamsport

"My daughter rode her bike off the path at the C&O Canal and hit her head on a large rock by the river. She was wearing her helmet, which saved her life. She is recovering well. Please keep in mind that you and your children need to wear helmets because it only takes a second for something to happen. Thank you for all the prayers."

- West Virginia

"A ladies' watch was found on Franklin Street. If you think this may be yours, call Mail Call and leave your number."

- Hagerstown

"President Bush said today on the Supreme Court nomination that he was focused on their character and their interests. We don't pick a judge for their character or their interests. We pick them because of their legal opinion. Once again Bush proves he is not doing the job. "

- Hagerstown

"The person said in Mail Call, 'are you second-guessing God by putting on clothes?' But you didn't finish reading the Bible. Go on down to Genesis 3, the 20th chapter will tell you when Adam and Eve had sinned and God made clothes out of animal skin for them. Read it before you pick out one thing. It's best to write it down."
