More than 80 vendors expected for Sidewalk Days

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The 38th annual Greencastle-Antrim Sidewalk Days will take place in downtown Greencastle today from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This annual event has more than 80 different vendors participating in the two-day event. Craft, food and merchant vendors will fill the square and both sides of East Baltimore Street, up to the intersection with Washington Street.

South Carlisle Street will be closed from the square to Franklin Street with vendors lined up in parking spaces, both sides of the street. The former firehouse on South Carlisle Street will have vendors as well.

Most downtown merchants will have booths at Sidewalk Days. In addition, many businesses outside of the borough will also have a booth to display special sale items during the two-day event.

Items will include garden gifts, handmade gifts, clothing & accessories, bath & body products, toys, Christmas items and more.

Craft vendors will offer a wide variety of items such as handmade & specialty jewelry, T-shirts, quilts, garden dcor, baskets, etched glass, wood crafts, wreaths, and gift items. Food choices include soft pretzels, chicken wraps, hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, pizza, homemade ice cream, crab cakes, ham sandwiches, Italian sausages, and drinks. There will be tables and chairs for the public to use located on the south side of the square, close to the Rescue Hose Company's food trailer. Several air-conditioned indoor eateries are also available in the downtown.
