The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls since Tuesday, Cpl. Roy Harsh said:
On Tuesday:
- At 9:41 a.m., credit cards were reported stolen out of a Kia Spectra parked in the 11200 block of Youngstoun Drive.
- At 10:56 a.m., a $304 check from a business was reported illegally cashed in the first block of West Potomac Parkway in Williamsport.
- At 11:03 a.m., several fire extinguishers and a radio were reported stolen from a boat at Bower's Marine, at 17815 Virginia Ave.
- At 11:06 a.m., a mailbox in the 13800 block of McIntosh Circle was reported damaged.
- At 6:19 p.m., a 1989 Chevrolet Suburban was keyed while parked in the 11800 block of Oriole Drive.
Food on the stove blamed for fire
Food on the stove was blamed for a minor fire Tuesday evening in the 800 block of Washington Avenue.
Firefighters from First Hose, Antietam, Western Enterprise and Pioneer Hook and Ladder responded shortly after 7 p.m. Residents were able to return to the building after fans were used to clear smoke.
