SALISBURY, Md. - The Hagerstown had a good feeling after three innings with a 3-2 lead over Delmarva.
Then, the Shorebirds went to war in the fourth inning with a flock of runs and when the Suns managed to retire the side, Delmarva had an eight-run inning that paved the way for a 17-7 win on Tuesday night.
Kevin Mannix was rocked for nine runs in three-plus innings and Suns relievers gave up eight more. Delmarva racked the Suns for 16 hits.
The Suns, 3-9 in the second half of the South Atlantic League campaign, collected 13 hits off three Delmarva pitchers, four by Corey Coles and three each by Grant Psomas and Ryan Coultas.
