Administrative secretary honored in W.Va.

RANSON, W.Va. - Jeanne DeGennaro, administrative secretary, has been named the employee of the month at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, announced John Sherwood, chief executive officer.

Other employees who were nominated include Tonia Jenkins, home health; Dave Kemp, engineering; Fred Horn, radiology; Mary Alice Lemen, fiscal; and Melissa Barker, rehabilitation.

Employee service awards dinner held

RANSON, W.Va. - Jefferson Memorial Hospital recently held its annual employee service awards dinner at Clarion Inn and Conference Center. Employees were recognized for their years of service to the hospital and patients it serves. The event included a dinner for the employees and their guest followed by a presentation of service pins.

Sylvia Gregory, medical surgical department, was honored for her 35 years of service to the hospital.

Uzelac named employee of the month

Nevalene Uzelac has been selected as the Washington County Health Department's employee of the month for the month of June. Uzelac has been employed as a school health aide in the department's school health program for 11 years and is assigned to Fountaindale Elementary School. She has been with the school health program since its beginning and provides routine and emergency treatment to the students of the school. Her selection reflects not only her dedicated service, but also her recent life-saving intervention to clear a student's blocked airway.
