Mercersburg, Pa., resident Crystal M. Wible, a commercial account renewal specialist for Bowers Insurance Inc., is pursuing her Certified Insurance Service Representative certification.
Wible has completed two of the five required courses for the certification and expects to complete the remaining courses later this year.
In her current position, Wible processes client insurance renewals and performs pre-renewal verifications. She joined Bowers in 1999 as a receptionist following her graduation from Hagerstown Business College, where she earned her associate's degree.
United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America
Twenty-two carpenters and apprentices recently took part in continuing education training at Local 340, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union Hall in Hagerstown.
The class was provided by Superior Specialties from Frederick, Md., on the E.I.F.S. - Exterior Insulated Finishing System.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Dr. May T. Cao and Christy T. Hayes, chiropractic assistant of Cao Family Chiropractic, recently attended a four-day continuing education course in Spartanburg, S.C.
Cao attended classes in Gonstead and Full-Spine Techniques, among others.
Hayes attended office management classes.
Cao is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic and is a member of the Federation of Straight Chiropractic Organization and the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Organization.
Hayes, a certified chiropractic assistant, has been office manager since 2003.
Shepherd University
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Linda S. Dunn, former president of Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Moorefield, W.Va., was to join the Shepherd University staff July 1.
She will work in Shepherd's Office of Advancement as director of advancement research and will assist with the development of a master of arts degree in college student development.
An alumna of Shepherd, Dunn earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1968. She earned a master of science degree from West Virginia University and a doctorate in education from Virginia Tech.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Scott Palmer and Chuck Kipe with Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA recently were recognized as agents of the month for May in the Greencastle office.
Palmer was recognized for the three years and over in the business category and Kipe was recognized for the three years and under in the business category.
Palmer also was recognized as May's leader in service.
Palmer, of Greencastle, has been selling real estate for 20 years and is an associate broker.
Kipe, of Little Cove, Pa., has been selling real estate for more than one year.

Chiropractic and Massage Center of Hagerstown
The Maryland State Board of Chiropractic Examiners at its June meeting elected Dr. Marc Gamerman as president.
Gov. Robert Ehrlich reappointed Gamerman to a second four-year term on the Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The board received the Regulatory Board of the Year award in 1993.
Gamerman has been in private practice in Hagerstown for 20 years.
EZ Dumper Products
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Curtis Florek has been named EZ Dumper Products LLC's Employee of the Month for May.
Florek, who has worked in the shipping department since April 2004, was unanimously selected by the production supervisors at the plant in Waynesboro.
