CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The USUA Millennium Flyers Club 201 and the Chambersburg Skydiving Center will host the sixth annual Mercy Medical/Angel Flight Fly-in on Saturday, July 23, at the Franklin County Regional Airport.
The day-long event begins at 8 a.m. and will feature classic and ultralight aircraft displays and rides, raffles, food and activities for children at the former Chambersburg Municipal Airport.
Mercy Medical/Angel Flight is a nonprofit organization that provides air transport services for patients in need of medical treatment far from home.
Event coordinator Kathryn Ridgway said every $100 raised generates $500 in air transport services because the volunteer pilots of Angel Flight donate their time and the use of their aircraft.
