Man faces drug charges


FREDERICK, Md. - A 21-year-old Frederick man faces drug distribution charges after he allegedly sold $560 worth of marijuana to an undercover Frederick Police Department officer Thursday, according to a news release.

William Joseph Brubaker, of the 8000 block of Aynsley Court in Frederick, is charged with two counts of marijuana distribution, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and two counts of marijuana possession.

At about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, an undercover Drug Enforcement Unit officer who arranged to buy $560 worth of marijuana from a man met with him in the area of U.S. 40, police allege in the release.

The man sold the undercover officer, with whom he had made a sale about two weeks ago, $560 worth of marijuana and was subsequently arrested in the 1100 block of U.S. 40, police said. The man was under investigation for about the past three weeks, the release states.

Brubaker was being held this morning at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center on a $20,000 bond, a jail spokeswoman said.

Man wanted in homicide found


FREDERICK, Md. - A Bel Air, Md., man wanted in Baltimore in connection with a homicide was taken into custody in Frederick, according to a Frederick Police Department news release.

Police said the man was seen at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Little Brook Drive before being taken into custody.

The man was returned to authorities in Baltimore, according to police.
