Hagerstown police respond to calls

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following calls for service Monday, according to information released by the department.


  • At 2:46 a.m., an assault was reported in the 100 block of Holburn Avenue.

  • n At 5:43 a.m., broken windows were reported in the first block of East Memorial Boulevard.

  • At 8:45 a.m., a burglary and theft of tools and cash were reported in the 600 block of Jefferson Street.

  • At 3:58 p.m., an attempted burglary was reported in the first block of South Prospect Street.

  • At 7 p.m., an assault was reported in the 900 block of Lanvale Street.

  • At 7:14 p.m., an assault was reported in the 300 block of Cameo Drive.

Air conditioners stolen from house

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Four air conditioners, a hot water tank and an oven/stove were stolen sometime over the weekend from an unoccupied house owned by the Letterkenny Industrial Developmental Authority, police said.

The burglary happened at 5121 Coffey Ave. in Greene Township sometime between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, according to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police.


The total value of the items stolen was $12,300, police said.

In another robbery, a cash register worth $400 was taken when someone broke into Lurgan Greenhouse at 8126 Oakdale Road in Lurgan Township, police said.

The cash register did not contain any money or valuables, police said.
