Concerts


Masters Youth will present the Hagerstown Hope Project.

The following Christian bands will perform:

  • Today - Everlife, with Stephanie Jean opening. $10.

  • Wednesday, June 22 - Sonicflood. $10.

  • Thursday, June 23 - Unsearable Riches, with Saline opening. $8.


Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. each night at E. Russell Hicks Middle School, 1321 S. Potomac St., Hagers-town. Purchase tickets at area Christian Light bookstores, Family Christian Bookstores, Higher Ground Coffee House and on the Web from Master's Youth at Paypal at www.mastersyouth.com.




Movies opening this week


  • "Bewitched" (PG-13) - Hotshot actor Jack Wyatt, set to star as Darrin in a film version of the '60s TV series "Bewitched," finds his ideal Samantha in unknown actress Isabel, who just happens to be a witch in real life. Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Shirley MacLaine, Michael Caine and Steve Carell star.

  • "George A. Romero's Land of the Dead" (R) - In a modern-day world where the walking dead roam an uninhabited wasteland, the living try to lead "normal" lives behind the walls of a fortified city. A new society of ruthless opportunists live in the towers of a skyscraper high above the hard-scrabble existence on the streets below. Outside city walls, an army of the dead is evolving. With the survival of the city at stake, a group of hardened mercenaries is called on to protect the living from an army of the dead. Starring Simon Baker, Asia Argento, Dennis Hopper, John Leguizamo and Robert Joy.
