Hagerstown police respond to calls

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following calls this week:


  • At 5 p.m., an item was thrown at a parked vehicle in the 300 block of North Cannon Avenue, damaging it.

  • At 5:57 p.m., a bicycle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Spruce Street.


  • At 2:04 p.m., a vehicle was scratched and its tires slashed in the 600 block of West Franklin Street.

  • At 6:36 p.m., jewelry was reported stolen from the 300 block of South Locust Street.

  • At 6:50 p.m., Bruce Luray Gray, 25, was arrested in the first block of North Locust Street and charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs/drug paraphernalia.

  • At 10:11 p.m.: a bicycle was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Noland Drive.


  • At 12:46 a.m., a knife was confiscated from a vehicle on Eastern Boulevard.

    Break-in reported in Chambersburg

    CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Someone broke into a house in the 10900 block of Grindstone Hill Road and stole $1,122 and a water jug, Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday.


The burglary happened Friday about 11:55 p.m.

Shippensburg home broken into Thursday

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - A house in the 1500 block of Two Turn Road was broken into Thursday between 6:20 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday.
