Drug case is forwarded to Circuit Court

A woman charged with several drug offenses will face charges in Washington County Circuit Court, according to court records.

Washington County District Judge Ralph H. France II found probable cause during a hearing Tuesday to forward charges against Danielle D. McPherson, 32, of 15 W. Douglas Court in Smithsburg.

McPherson was one of two people charged with possession of a large amount of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance in an investigation that culminated in May, records state.

The Washington County Narcotics Task Force alleges that two people were targets of an investigation that led to the execution of a search and seizure warrant at the State Line Motel, 18221 Mason Dixon Road, on May 12, records state. The task force alleges $6,500, various drugs and drug paraphernalia, and a digital scale were among the items found inside the room.
