County to get funds through state program

The Washington County Commissioners approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maryland Department of the Environment, which allows the county to receive money through the Maryland State Community Right-To-Know Fund Grant 2005 Program.

The money the county will receive is $6,210. The money will be used to purchase or maintain computer database systems, chemical response equipment and references, to cover contracted services and for other expenses.
